Program Description:
Recent high-profile security breaches have raised awareness of the threat, and the need to address, one of the most pressing problems facing businesses today - managing cyber-security risks. The health care industry is increasingly facing the impact of different sources for security breaches and the consequential consumer privacy complaints and penalties from federal and state government agencies. A recent report revealed that 40% of surveyed healthcare organizations had more than five breaches over the past two years, and that the average hospital breach costs $2.1 million. The key goal is for these provider organizations to understand the areas of vulnerability and implement the right technical resources and organizational protocols to address these issues.
This program will focus on internal privacy, security, compliance and audit practices to lead a provider organization to achieve that goal and comply with federal and state rules and regulations.
