Dear Colleagues and Friends:

I am writing to provide a friendly reminder that next week, Steve Hochman and I will be presenting our annual Three Day Commercial Mediation training.  The training, which is celebrating its tenth straight year, will run from Tuesday, March 19th  through Thursday, March 21st (from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day) and will be held at Fordham University School of Law, conveniently located at 150 West 62nd Street.  It is being offered through the New York State Bar Association’s Dispute Resolution Section, and has been approved for three of the five training days required by Part 146 for mediators interested in serving on the New York State Supreme Court’s Commercial Division ADR Panel.  Attendees will also receive 24 CLE credits.

To learn more about the program, a brochure and online registration can be found at the following link:

If you have already taken this training, and would like to fulfill your remaining two days of training for entry onto the Commercial Division panel, please keep an eye out for emails on our upcoming “Advanced” two day trainings, which will be held twice this year, at two separate dates and venues:

  1. April 12 and 15 at the Nassau County Bar Association. Registration can be found at http://www.nysba.org/store/events/registration.aspx?event=0FY93; and
  2. June 11 and 12 at Fordham Law School.  Registration can be found at http://www.nysba.org/store/events/registration.aspx?event=DRSSU19.

Please feel free to forward this email to anyone who might be interested.  The Commercial Division is a wonderful place for folks looking to build commercial mediation practices to get good experience and exposure, and to serve in the resolution of complex disputes.

Many thanks, again, and best regards.
