Does anyone know how many women are in their own practice and or are solos? I am interested to hear some success stories, how they began, how they grew, their challenges and how they may have either sold and or wound up their practice. Sharing success stories, and some other experiences may benefits us all ...

You've got a point. I'm concerned about the state of affairs for newly minted law school graduates who are graduating with huge student loans and are finding it hard to find legal jobs. I just read this morning that New York Law School is sponsoring a charter school with the mission of exposing younger students to careers in law and social justice. Hopefully the job market for new attorneys will have turned for the better by the time they graduate from high school and pursue legal careers. Otherwise, the only winner in this scenario will be New York Law School.
