Resources for Becoming a Solo Practitioner as a New Attorney

By Irina Dularidze posted 03-28-2016 04:02 PM

Good Afternoon NYSBA members.  I am posting an entry and hoping for feedback and or information.  I am a fairly new attorney.  I have been admitted about a year and a half, now. I am interested in becoming a solo practitioner.  I have ideas for which areas I would like to practice.  I would like to know if anyone would be interested in consulting with me, or about providing feedback on how a new attorney becomes a solo practitioner. Any advice or leads would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you in advance for your time and consideration of my question.

Best,

Irina Dularidze

Hi Irina: NYSBA just sponsored a CLE on May 6th entitled "Staring A Solo Practice in New York". You can get the program on a video or streamed. I took it some years ago and it was well worth it.

Hi Irina - I went out on my own after about 6 years in mid to large firms and it's awesome. I've learned a lot and am happy to chat. Shoot me an email [email protected] if you're interested. Good luck!

Irina,
I opened up my own shop after approximately a year of admission, and I would be happy to discuss the ups and downs of my experience. Shoot me an email at [email protected] and let's figure out a good time to talk.
Best,
Dave
